Remove Duplicate Entries
In this tutorial, we use wildcards to remove duplicate entries from a document. For example, duplicate paragraphs or duplicate words.
Learn how to find the words started with “C” followed by “P” or “Q” and then three digits. For example, I need to check references to a bunch of different product codes, CP408 through CQ917.
If you want to replace formatting, a specific word or phrase for another, you can use the Replace tab of Find and Replace dialog box.
Wildcard characters for searching
The wildcards characters, ?-*!<>@()[]{}, helps you to find character patterns in the text instead of specific character sequences. Wildcard searches are always case sensitive, meaning that upper and lowercase letters differ. They are often used to perform complex search-and-replace operations, and to validate that text data is well-formed.
Advance Find
You can search for text from the Navigation pane or from the Find And Replace dialog box. The Find and Replace dialog box is modeless, so you can edit your document without closing the dialog box. A modeless dialog box is one that you can leave open on screen while you continue to work in the application. Most dialog boxes are modal, which means that you have to dismiss them before you can do any more work in the application.
Using Navigation Pane to Find Text
You can use the Navigation pane to find all instances of a specific word, phrase, or formatting mark in the current document.
Attach Templates
The Normal.dotm is automatically attached to all new documents you create in Word. However, you can reattach a document to a template, regardless of which template is currently attached.
AutoCorrect Actions
Learn how to turn on “Additional Actions” choice in the right-click menu.
In this tutorial, you’ll learn a way of making Fields visible or invisible using Field Shading option, identify fields that change when you open and print a document, and lock a field to prevent it from being updated automatically.
