Some documents require characters not found on a standard keyboard, such as, copyright (©) or registered trademark (®) symbols, or currency symbols (such as € or £). Or you might want to add arrows.
AutoCorrect
When you type, you may make typing, spelling, capitalization, or grammar errors. Word’s AutoCorrect feature automatically corrects these kinds of errors as you type them in the document. Enter Sample Text
You can create sample or dummy text quickly by doing some typing and then using Copy and Paste, but Word also offers some automated ways, such as rand() function to generate random text, rand.old() function to generate the text “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” and lorem() function to generate the traditional “Lorem ipsum” placeholder text.
